If you are so unfamiliar with Linux, why would you want to run it on your PDA? Not to mention that not all of the TX hardware even works under Linux, it is more of an experiment than a replacement for Palm OS.

I wanted to run linux on my palm so i could run programs that are compatible with linux such as bittorrent for linux on my palm. would that work. Also, MS3FGX how can i BECOME familiar with linux? If I was familiar with it, would i be asking for help. :I Im not trying to offend you. Sorry if I have.
There is no WiFi support when running Linux on the TX, so like I said, there is not a whole lot you can do with it. Obviously Bittorrent is out (unless you connect over Bluetooth...ugh, that would be rough).
As for learning more about it, I guess the best place to start would be installing Linux on a spare machine you have at home (or dual booting) and poking around a bit. There are a lot of excellent books available plus almost limitless information you can get online.
