Hello i have installed Kubuntu 11.10 on my acer aspire and i cant make to work effects. Also when i am changing brightness there is no difference i think problem is in video or i am wrong. Video card Nvidia geforce 540m. What should i do?
I think providing a little more information would help, such as the CPU type and speed and RAM.
When you say you can't get effects to work, could you be a little more specific about which effects? Also, regarding brightness, are you referring to hardware or software controls.
Now i noticed that when i am installing recommended nvidia drivers effects stop working (I am talking about all effects), when i don't install them everything is ok except brightness, no matter how i try to change by function keys or by software brightness still same.
