on board sound

hi all

i have an acer tm 660 laptop, and my slack 9.1 doesn't recognizes the sound card.

btw i don't what soundcard is installed.

help?

There's¦a¦difference¦between¦not¦being¦recognized¦and¦recognizing¦wrongly¦and¦not¦working¦as¦a¦resul t.

Do¦you¦have¦sndconfig¦installed.¦Run¦that¦from¦a¦console¦as¦root¦and¦see¦what¦if¦finds.

You¦can¦also¦check¦your¦etc/modules.conf¦file¦to¦see¦if¦anything¦turned¦up¦there.
