I have installed opensuse in dual boot with windows 7. been using it for quite some time but now i wanted to switch to ubuntu. So can you help me with installing ubuntu on opensuse. i have the ubuntu iso.
tried installing it but was not successful. need your thoughts.
The link below is an excellent tutorial on installing Ubuntu including doing a dual-boot install. It also has a lot of useful information on Linux in general that would be helpful for someone new to read.
Make sure you have enough contiguous free space for your Ubuntu installation. If you want to install it in place of openSuse, you could wipe it first by running Ubuntu live and using gparted. If you want it alongside of openSuse, use the same procedure but install of wiping openSuse, use gparted to compress the partition it is in (or alternatively, the Windows partition).
