I have looked at the specs of the Toshiba Satellite 1135-S155: 512.0 MB of RAM, 40 Gb of hard drive, 2GHz Celeron
processor. Many recent distributions require at least 512Mb to install, so I am not sure you will succeed with
Ubuntu. You may succeed with Linux Slackware, since it only requires 64Mb of RAM. In any case, you should
avoid heavy desktop environment such as KDE or GNOME and use instead fvwm, icewm, wmaker or Xfce.
