Interrupt conflict on boot with Xircom MiniPCI LAN/56K Modem

Hi, I have a Thinkpad X20 with Mandriva 2005LE installed, and the built-in ethernet has been giving me trouble. When I boot the machine, it hangs with an error message, saying there was an IRQ conflict with my LAN card. If I open the machine and remove this card, it works fine.

The funny thing is, it only used to give me trouble if I shut the laptop down without unplugging the ethernet cable first. Now it does it all the time. Is there a config file somewhere that regulates the interrupt settings? Will the ifconfig command let me change it maybe?
