Help with my screen brightness, Acer aspire 9500 Ubuntu 6.06


so everything works with my screen, i just need to figure out a way to turn up the brightness on teh screen, its starting to get annoying, i have to almost squint to see small fonts, ive looked all through preferences and system and i cant find anything

fn+up and down buttons, they are dedicated on my computer, i just overlooked them completely while trying to figure out how to do it
