hangs at boot

Just installed FC3 on a sony laptop here and had the same problem.
Got around it by doing the Interactive start-up thing.
On mine, at the question about the "run firstboot" or something about first boot, I entered N.
That got the system booted. From there I went into the services thing and turned off the
firstboot.
As you may be thinking, I am not a Fedora guru. I just load other distros to see how they are.
My prime attraction is to Slackware, which I really enjoy.
By the way, I am pleased with the crisp feel of FC3.
