Does “Print Screen” work in Linux?

System: Dell Inspiron 1100
Distro: Suse 9.2, kernel 2.6.8-24, KDE 3.3.0
Dual Booting with Win XP
And I'm totally new to this OS.

Does “Print Screen” work in Linux?
If so, please tell me how.
I was really excited about Linux, but I find myself getting more and more frustrated every time I boot into “that side” of my computer. So many little (and big) things just don't work.

Thanks for your patience and help,
James Carruthers

It depends on which desktop environment you're running. Both KDE and gnome include facilities for mapping keys including printscreen -- which keys are mapped by default depend on your distribution.

Also, it's bad netiquette to start the same thread in multiple forums on a messageboard. Please keep this in mind in the future - moderators here tend to enforce the rules strictly here (which imho is a good thing!).

Thanks.

Honestly, I posted it twice by accident. (I posted quite a few questions all at once and that one got in there twice by mistake.)

Is there a way I should delete one?
