Difficulties hibernating - compaq m2000/PCLinuxos

I'm having difficulties hibernating on a Compaq m2000. Sempron 2800+. Anyway, When I try to hibernate it successfully turns off however when I turn machine back on it goes through the normal startup, says it was powered off wrong and checks the disk, reboots, and says the swap partition is bad. I'm running PCLinuxOS 0.92. Any thoughts?

Smile try suspend2
try Suspend 2. U will have to patch up ur kernel files and then downloading the hibernate script for the same site. I have a toshiba laptop and I patched up my system with suspend2 and hibernate script runs fine .....
