I would like to end this thread on a happy note.
I added another OS to the boot list of my Dell DUO Linux mint 10 "Julia"
Right out of the box worked flawless internal and external sound works great touch screen and multi touch works smooth no freezing or glitches at all.
I'm satisfied.
I have a fully functional Linux OS on my duo.
I'd like to thank those who chipped in to help me with this little project.
It may not be correct but I'm going to mark this thread as solved.
