ALSA on latitude D800 and 2.6.9 kernel
Hi all,
I'm trying to get sound working on my Dell Latitude D800 laptop (Sigmatel 9750). It works perfectly using one of the 2.4 kernels which are provide by Slackware 10.0 but it doesn't work when I compile my own kernel (2.6.9). When I load the snd_intel8x0 module I get in dmesg:
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:1f.5[B] -> GSI 7 (level, low) -> IRQ 7
unable to grab IRQ 7
Intel ICH: probe of 0000:00:1f.5 failed with error -16
lsmod shows that the module is loaded but sound doesn't work (ALSA does not find a soundcard). Maybe this problem is related to ACPI which is not enabled on the older kernel (which was the main reason for compiling my own kernel). I have been googling for this problem but found nothing useful. Can somebody here help me?
