alsa-driver-linuxant


Hello ..
I have installed hsfmodem but i miss the sound !!!
I have read that i have to install alsa-driver-linuxant , but when i installed it the script failed !!
so ,the problem has not been solved yet..
What i have to do??

How about posting what the actual error you got was, what hardware you're using, and what version/distro of Linux?

Saying "the script failed!!!" doesn't give us alot to go on.

Ok, that's a bit more to go on. The log file that's referenced in the error message...what does it say in there?

Every time the system boots i have this message :
"Building modules for the kernel 2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686 . . . done
ERROR: Build failed. Please review the build log at /var/tmp/alsa-driver-linuxant.4603.log
Original kernel module will be used
ALSA is already building.. "
but the number of line changes 22xx , 21xx
notice : i have kernel-devel-2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.i686
By a way i have installed alsa-lib-1.0.19 ...

Ok...you have the error in your message. You have kernel 2.6.27.5.117 running, but kernel-development libraries of 2.6.27.19-170. They're different.

Either make the development headers match the running kernel, or vice-versa, and try the build again.

Download the right kernel development libaries, and install them.

You know the kernel version...so look for the kernel-devel rpm file that has matching numbers. Install it.
