Accessible Linux Flash Drive Installation
Hello, everyone.
I would like to install a Linux distro on my 2GB SanDisk Cruzer Mini, but I am in need of a small bit of assistance.
I am a partially blind Linux user, and so I rely on screen magnification software (such as gnome-mag or Compiz Fusion and its amazing eZoom plugin). What I basically need to find out is this: Which distro can run well from a USB Flash Drive (and allow the saving of data to the said USB drive), which would support either gnome-mag or Compiz Fusion? Once I can get this figured out, I'll definitely be performing a flash drive installation.
I was also wondering: Is it possible to actually install a Linux distro on a flash drive, or does it have to emulate a Live CD? And (I know that this is machine dependent) will a USB-based distro be bootable from other computers besides my own?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much, everyone.
Please take care.
