What's up with new kernels more often than daily?
I check for a new kernel daily. Between Friday and Saturday 2 upgrades happened, from 5.1.12 to 5.1.14.

Why would you expect problems/hacks/whatever to conform to sidereal time ?.

They would probably patch an issue, not release a new version.
