Scripts in cron.daily are not running daily

Scripts in cron.daily are not running daily

Scripts in crontab -l run just fine.

If I run:
Code:
run-parts /etc/cron.daily
The scripts run fine.

anacrontab has the following:
Code:
# cat /etc/anacrontab |grep daily
1	5	cron.daily nice run-parts /etc/cron.daily
How do I know if anacrontab is executing/running?

TIA

What does log says?
Code:
cat /var/log/cron
Check permissions of folder /var/spool/cron/crontabs and see if your file there is readable. If you run cron at $USER specific your $USER should be located in this same folder.

For further debugging run cron to debug mode
Code:
crond -l -d
and see what keeps the script from running.

Hope that helps.

Good luck.
