Unknown symbol __bad_spinlock_type


Hi,
I have written a kernel loadable module for 2.6.10 linux kernel and when I try to insmod the module, it throws an error saying
Unknown symbol __bad_spinlock_type

I am wondering, what could be wrong in my system
