Trouble installing webcam module

I have a logitech clicksmart 310 camera that I use as my webcam. In Woody and in Mandrake/Mandriva I have compiled the kernel module for the webcam with no problems. I've since moved back to Debian into Sarge. Problem is the disks I bought were supposed to be Sarge 3.1 but I find that this was the release client as my apt sources (for cd's only) point to unstable. And I found that these cd's don't include the kernel headers for the 2.6 kernel. Now I've got everything configured fine and haven't tried to compile any other programs. But when I try to compile this kernel, the spca5xx kernel that I've always used it complains about the missing kernel headers. And in aptitude I can't find them either. Not in not installed programs or in installed programs. They just aren't there. Is there any way to get around this or should I just wait for Etch to release and get the new cd's and try again?
