Compilation: Where did I go wrong?


I've recompiled the 2.6.18 kernel 17 times now and get the same error every time I try to boot it:

Uncompressing Linux...

 invalid compressed format (err=1)

-- System halted_
Did I make something incorrectly?

Oh. Nevermind; I figured out what I did wrong.

I needed to update LILO by running "lilo" as root.
