Wisetech optical mouse and mouse wheel support

Hi. I'm running Gentoo on kernel 2.6.0 with an Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboard. I have a PS/2 Wisetech optical mouse with two buttons and a mouse wheel. I cannot seem to get the mouse wheel to work in X (newest stable version). Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

This was fixed by me forgetting to be stupid for once, and looking through my XF86Config file and noticing my mouse was defined twice, and the first time defined incorrectly. I removed the 2nd definition and fixed the first definition, and bam, it worked. Ugh.
