wireless card


I have a wireless PCi card that im trying to install on fedora core 3.
Unfortunately i cannot work out what driver i need to get or even if their is a driver for it anywhere.

thats an image of the box, i cannot work out what make it is.

the only thing i knowis that the acx100 isnt compatible.

Im a linux newbie realy so any help would be much appreciated

Try the command:

/sbin/lspci

And post back what you get from that, also since this is a pcmcia card (I think, that image is really small), post:

/sbin/cardctl ident

The information is pretty specific, so with the cardctl info, make certain to post it all up, and with the lspci information, just bother with anything that says "Network" adapter or similar, but I need to the whole line of info.

Its not a pcmia card, its a pci card, sorry i only posted the image in case someone knew what make it is.

Ill try that as soon as i get a chance, im setting it up for s friend of mine so wont be able to do this for a few days, ill post the results as soon as i get a chance

Excellent, PCI card much simpler, then just the output of:

/sbin/lspci

and we can track down what chipset it is.

Sorry my mate decided he'd rather have fedora on his laptop with an old pcmcia card.

Below is the information printed from /sbin/cardctl ident

socket 0:
product info: "Intersil", "ISL3890", "_", "_"
manfid: 0x000b, 0x3890
function: 254 ((null))

I'd be very greatful if you could help me find a drive for this!
