Wireless Adapter
Hi guys
fresh install of Ubuntu (based on Debian, as many of you know)
Wireless card (I believe) is picked up somewhere by the OS as it displays the wireless signal strength icon in the top task bar, however, not
wireless device is available for configuration by the user/OS.
Are there some simple steps I can use to begin to identify the problem?
Kind Regards
Dan

It doesn't report any wireless devices. A google of "iwconfig reports no devices" isn't massively reveling

There is a beta driver for rt2400/rt2500 on Sourceforge. You'll need to compile the module from source:
http://rt2400.sourceforge.net/
Alternatively, this card is known to work with ndiswrapper. I'm not sure if Ubuntu includes ndiswrapper in their distro - check your installed/installable programs. It may be that you just need to feed it the Windows driver.
