Why does my modem disconnect

Hi all,
I have posted this question before and tried out the suggestions but still couldnt figure out why my modem frequently disconnects.Its a winmodem and it usually disconnects when i try and open a couple of pages at once which may suggest that a decrease in available bandwidth hangs the line.
Anyone any ideas?By the way pppd and kppp keep on running but the phone just hangs up and i dont have call waiting or a noisy line.

p.s. all said , i should point out that it also hangs up with no activity !!

Take a look through your kppp options. Check to make sure that there is not some error in the kppp setup.
