Unhappy Which Dvd-burner brand do you suggest me ?

Ciao !

My external Lacie Dvd Burner Usb 2.0 with Lightscribe is dead...which brand do you suggest me to buy ?

Are Usb 2.0 Samsung good ? and Lg ones ?

I need also an internal Dvd burner cos' my internal Plextor is dead too..as you see,i'm really very lucky !

In the site of www.essedi.it i've seen these samsung,i've heard they're a good brand, does anyone have them or anyway a samsung dvd burner ? and how does he feel with them?

I don't care about the brand..the only important thing is that is working well !

Bye and thank you !

I've had two LG ones which I've been very happy with (the old one only went as I upgraded to SATA) - currently I've got a GSA-H30N (SATA).

Info & performance tests at http://www.hardware.info/productdb/b...ct/LG_GSAH30N/

I'm using NEC only for PATA cd/dvd and SATA dvd. Never had a problem.

I don't know about Samsung drives but I have other Samsung hardware and I feel that I get a very good price/quality ratio.

I've had good luck with LiteOn burners. I don't know if one brand is significantly better than another brand as far as long term reliability is concerned. They are made so cheaply these days, and they all tend to be priced within a few dollars of each other, so how can one be that much better than the others.

Talking Suggestions Followed And Now Good Dvd Burners Bought

Ciao !

Following your suggestions i've bought an External Usb 2.0 Lg for the notebook-its dvd burner was not compatible with linux-and an internal Samsung for the desktop and they both work very well and don't give me any problems.

As soon as i can i will review them both in the HCL sections

Cheers and bye !
