What do these warnings mean (re cdrom)?

I have a cdrom on /dev/hdd. My system sees it but doesn't see any disk I put
in it, either data or audio. I ran "cdrecord dev=ATAPI -scanbus" and got the
following output. I'm wondering about the NO DMA and the warning about the
controller returning the wrong size. Could either of these things be my
problem?

thanks,
Siri Amrit

$ cdrecord dev=ATAPI -scanbus

i don't think those warning mean anything accept are a reflection of a scism between the cdrecord developer and the kernel developers

it's like they argue thru error and warning messages

if it's not a cd burner they certaily don't mean anything at all
