I have an MSI video card that is a GeForce4 Ti4400. It has the built-in video in/out. Under Windows I use the WDM capture software provided by Nvidia as the drivers for the capture. However, under Linux, I'm at a loss.

Mandrake 10.1 OE doesn't recognize the card...at all. Consequently there is no /dev/video* or whatever it would be called. TVTime and KdeTv have no input. I'd rather do the video editing I need to do in Linux.

Any suggestions?

Here's the link for the video card:

You could use this :

http://rivatv.sourceforge.net/

It says your card (or the tuner on the card is supported) is supported. Although, as ironic is it may sound, i think you have to use the vesa drvier and not the nvidia driver to get this to work. I see the page has finally been updated and there is a new release. So maybe it has changed. But your card is supported and it does work. So try there first.

Thanks Phorem. Although I haven't played around with it enough to get it working, that seems like an incredibly helpful link.
