Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Question VGA IN card?

Does anyone know of any cardbus (or anything else if you can think of it- provided it will work with a laptop) card which will allow me to put a video signal (from another pc) INTO my laptop?
My laptop does have an SVideo port, but it's almost definately video out only (unless it somehow does two way video? (not at the same time, obviously)).

Thanks
Simon

If you have USB 2.0 ports, you can use that for video capture. If you do not have any USB 2.0 ports, you can find a PCMCIA card with firewire ports. Then use a DV camcorder that has pass through feature. I do not think there is any support for PCMCIA video capture devices in Linux.
