USB to serial convertor + CDMA modem

I am running linux kerenel 2.4.22. I have the following problem

I use a USB to serial adapter to connect to my CDMA device (to access net). The info tool on KDE recognizes my serial port as follows...

USB UHCI Root Hub (3)
|
|___PL 2303 Serial Port

but my device attached to the serial port is not recognized. How do i make it visible to linux.

It should be recognized by ur kudzu if you a have redhat. I think RH8 is not able to recognize it but Rh9 and rh7.3 can.. it recognize them as samsung cdma technologies..
Now how to configure that. .see configure reliance phone cdma to connect internet in Linux
Hope that solves ur problem...
