Question USB Stick does not show up in /dev or in File Browser

Hi there,

I just tried to repair a USB-Stick (corrupted Superblocks) with e2fsck.
Now the USB-Stick doesn't show up in /dev, lsblk and /etc/fstab.

I don't know what to do now please help me.

Thank you and Best Regards

It may have failed if you can't see a device node for it. The /etc/fstab file tells Linux which filesystems should be automatically mounted on system startup - so it doesn't need to show up in that file.

It's not a good idea anyway to put removable drives in /etc/fstab

You would need to copy a new superblock to it.

However, if there is nothing important on it, I'd just reformat it, (then you'll likely be good to go).

How's the OP going to do that, if they are not even getting a device node for it ?
