USB problems: Memorex USB stick 256MB and PSX to USB adapter by Radio Shack
Yes, it's the dreaded, dreaded, Linux n00b!
I have two separate problems, with my Fedora Core 1 now-Linux comp.
1) I have a Memorex USB stick, 256MB. I want the darn thing to mount so I can move data from school to home, and vice-versa. Yet I can't get any sda or sdb device (or any sda1 or sdb1 device, etc) to show up when I used the rmesg command (I forgot what the command was already >_<) What can I do to get the stick to be seen and mounted?
2) I also have a PSX to USB adapter I got at Radio Shack. I tested it on my dad's comp (which has Windows XP Home) and it worked perfectly. Yet, I can't get Fedora to see it and let me configure it (calibration, etc). I searched the 'net with Google, I found a module for it, but the link on the database led to a 404 on SuSE's page. Help?
Any help is welcomed, but please try to keep it simple, I'm new at Linux, and some guides seem a tad too difficult to understand. =(
