Question USB Cardbus Adapter?

Having recently gotten Slackware 10.1 (2.4.29) up and running on a Compaq Armada E500 laptop, and wanting to have more than the one onboard USB port, I started researching cardbus USB adapters. Unfortunately, of the cards I found available at Fry's, I've found almost as many people that have had problems as those that got them to work without much hassle. I've narrowed it down to four choices: D-Link DUB-C2, Syba SD-PCB-USB, Adaptec AUA-1402A, and Compaq CPQUSBCB. They, also, had an SIIG four-port card. I don't need that many ports, and it would probably interfere physically with wireless card.

Can anyone point me to better info about the Linux compatability of (any of) these cards? As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Terje

I have a belkin which works for the most part, tends to lockup the keyboard driver when removed. Most seem to be just regular USB chips so they should work. Stores like fry's should let you return. Ask when you buy that if it won't be compatible with your system can you return it and I bet they will say yes.
