Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Usb 2.0

Is there a certain kernel revision required in order to use USB 2.0 (via PCI card)? I've seen references to 2.4.19 and 2.5.2 being required in order to have USB 2.0 support.

USB 1.0 works perfectly (using a USB mouse), but since 2.0 is faster than 1.0 (and that it did not work with Windows 98), I would like to be able to use 2.0.

Thank you.
