everytime i try and run anything flash over Firefox or any video through movie player, my computer will freeze and any sound will make that "broken record" sound. i think it may have something to do with my graphics card, which is a NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 6150 3d graphics cards on my Mobile AMD Sempron(TM) 3500+ laptop. i am running Ubuntu Hardy 8.04. i think it may have something to do with Ubuntu not running correctly with my video graphics card, but it could be anything. is there anything that would stop it from freezing like that? i currently am waiting for Intrepid to come in the mail. would Intrepid have better support for 3d graphics cards?

I have that problem when I go to MySpace (they have all those flash ads!). But it's just my Firefox that freezes for minutes on end, while the MySpace page loads. Even after I close the MySpace tab, I often have to restart my browser.
