Ubuntu driver for DVD Rewriter LG GP08LU10


Where can I find a driver for the dvd rewriter LG GP08LU10
for Ubuntu 10.04?

No additional drivers are required.
Is the drive being recognized?
Post the output of the command lsusb.

lsusb is a console command. Open a terminal window and type the command.

Are you having problems?

I used another CD in the cd/dvd reader and it work.

What happened that when i put the Samsung printer driver cd it did not read?

Cd's or dvd's for drivers are usually for mac & windows, in liux you get the printer drivers from repository. What is the model# of printer?

Model Number

The model number of the printer is Samsung ML-1865W

Can you explain me the steps to install it?

You go to the website Eddy1 gave you. You click on the button marked "User Manual" at the bottom of the page, then READ IT. It has the installation instructions in it.
