tv-card and webcam

I have a PCI tv-card (pinnacle PRO) and a usb webcam (logithech quickcam zoom) and I have /dev/video, /dev/video0 and /dev/video1 files. How I can know which of these refer to the webcam or to the tv-card.

thanks

Which one becomes video0 and 1 depends on the order in which the respective kernel modules (the drivers) are loaded. In /etc/modules.conf you can force a particular order, so the same device will always show up as the same -0 or -1. I load bttv and ibmcam for a Hauppauge card and my USB cam, and I preload bttv so it is always /dev/video0.

Hope it helps,

mlp

On a related note, I also have a webcam and tv card... currently I have gnomemeeting capturing from my tv card, and i connect remotely to watch TV However, I can't seem to send the audio... Gnomemeeting can send audio.. so would it just be a sound card configuration problem? Is this even possible through Gnomemeeting? I have to log in with another ssh session to change the channel, but it'll do for now, unless anyone has a better idea (I've tried vlc and it didn't work out).

Thanks for the help, I solved the problem seen the file mlp68 said there i find that usb modules are before pci, so the web-cam is video0 and the tv-card is video1.

For the problem of dizzy_vee i think you have to take the sound from the speakers not from the microphone in gnomemeeting. (i don't know how beacause i don't use it).
