turn an hardware "off"


hello!

Quick question: How can i turn an hardware off in Mandrake 9.2? I wan't mandrake to totaly ignore a soundcard...

just don't load the driver for it.... if you check /etc/modules.conf you should see the line that attempts to load the driver.. comment it out and it will not load it.

If it is a sound card integrated into the mobo, disable it in the bios settings.
