hi, I have an infrarred usb mouse, actually i´m using mandriva, but when I try to configure the mouse using hardrake I tried to use the option " mouse with wheel" but the only option that linux accepts is: any usb / ps/2 mouse and only works the 2 buttons.

Edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf and change the mouse protocol to IMPS/2. Make sure the ZAxisMapping is "4 5" or "6 7".

Look down at the "Microsfot" thread. Also, give the program xf86cfg a try. It allows you to test various configurations on your mouse. If you really botch it up, you may have to use the reset button. Be sure you save a copy of your working XF86Config-4 file in case xf86cfg overlays it with one that doesn't have your video card configured properly. The way I used the program was to just get a mouse that worked properly and then hand-entered the changes to my XF86Config-4 file to match what worked in xf86cfg.

Quake-on!
