telnet into a device in /dev

Hello,
I have a mobile phone connected via usb and i was trying to telnet into it. I know that it is in the /dev folder under ttyACM0 and ttyACM1.
Is there any way of trying to comunicate with this device over comandline?

Thanks
Tom

Well, a bare-bones way of doing it would be do just echo something to it, like "echo atdt2222222 > /dev/ttyACM0". If you're looking for something like a terminal program, you can fire up or install minicom. You'll have to set the baud rate, parity, etc., but that's worked for me in the past, for similar situations.

Thanks that seems to be working!
