Tech. support to write a driver for ESB buttons on my iPower laptop (HewlettPackard)
Hi,
Does anybody knows how can I find some documentation about ESB buttons on my iPower Packard Bell (laptop from second 5000 series) ?
Or, if not, how can I find the data using /proc file system or otherwise?
I wish to write a driver inorder to use the four special buttons, and Packard does offer support for W XP only. I could not find detailed technical supp nor on Packard Bell site, nor in any other place.
Actually, please post any responses here in the forum. Posts here can be seen by multiple people, while private Emails would only help one single person.
As for locating the documentation, have you contacted the manufacturer or checked their website? -- J,W,
I tried to contact him, no repose. And from the shop where I bought the laptop from, they told me to contact him. (usual problem to Bucarest, no wonder )
Check the Keyboard and Console HOWTO at tldp.org, in section 14 it shows how to find the scancodes for those special keys and then assign them to do things.
