Suspecting bad BFG 6800 gt graphics card

I'm lost I have posted in linux games about quake4 crashing
After I have exhausted my resources. I can't find anything that helps me. I'm starting to belive that it could be a defective graphics card. I have looked everywhere but can't find any thing about

WARNING: Loading non pre-cached file savegames/Autosave_game_airdefense1.txt

si_code -6
Trying to exit gracefully..

This loading non pre-cached is very weird I don't know what is causing it. I hate to say the card was a refurbished card. Is their any sugestions that I could do to test the cards ability. Such as linux stress testing programs.
