Suse desktop really small after connecting windows to overhead projector??

Hello Everyone

I am really new to installing Linux and working it on my own so apologies for any airhead questions

I have a Dell inspiron 9400 with a windows and suse partition. Windows was already installed and i installed the Suse bit. Everything was fine until i did a presentation in WIndows and used F8 to connect to the projector. When i do this the desktop for Windows goes small when i am doing talks-ie about a quarter of the size however using F8 i can get it back to normal.

However the next time i went into Suse after the presentation, the desktop was also really small and wont respond to F8. Anyone any ideas? Is it my graphics card?

Cheers for any help

Lauris

You meant you goes into Windows... Use projector(screen went small, revertible effect) and then switch back to Suse... and your screen went small??
Kinda weird to me... Changes made in Windows should not affect Linux...

OK SOlved it

Hello

Just after i emailed i searched for the problem on a Windows forum and its to do with the 'enable compensation' in the System setup. Somehow-not sure how really, when i connect to a projector in windows, this changes the compensation to OFF?? ANyway went in and enabled it again and everything is fine

I would be grateful if anyone knows how this happens??
