getting sony overhead projector to work on IBM laptop running Fedora

My laptop is running Fedora Core 1.

When I hook up a sony overhead projector to the VGA card the projector will only display in 640X480 mode.

I tried the S-VIDEO input but it displayed nothing.

has anyone got a sony projector working with linux? I there drivers I have to download?

Must get this working tonight or I will have to do my presentation using Windows! YUCK
