Suse 9.1 Audigy2 Answers here

i had this problem and it was impossible to find good instructions on how to do this so heres the 100% moron proof tutorial...

i find it best to start playing an mp3 before you do this, you wont hear anything, but you can see the bars bouncing around in the xmms player

start linux up and log in as your default user, Not root!

click the suse icon and go to System -> terminal -> konsole (i just like this one better)

type "alsamixer" and hit enter

hit the right arrow key 34 times, this should land you on a setting called audigy analog/digital output jack(look at the top 3 lines in alsamixer, and look at item)

hit the M key, this will toggle the enabling/disabling of the sound card.

your all done, if you took my suggestion and started an mp3 first you should hear music!
if not, check your sound cables, and make sure there on and the volume is up.

enjoy =)
