Strange graphics problems with ProSavage
Since upgrading from Fedora Core 4 to 5, I have had some very strange problems with my graphics.
There are two problems that came at once:
1. When watching a (mpeg/avi, etc) movie (fullscreen) with mplayer (or xine) everything works just perfectly. So far no problem.. :-)
However, after having watched that one, starting mplayer again with a similar movie, there are disturbances in the picture, horizontal lines and so. Just like the computer was too slow.
But if you stop that one and watch another type of video (other resolution or whatever), if only for a second or two, and then go back to the movie that didn't work before, it suddenly works!
For example, if I want to watch a movie in two parts, I either have to set up a playlist, so that there won't be a pause between them,
or I just watch the first one, then watch another video file in a different resolution for a second, then start the 2nd part of the movie.
Very annoying.
2. When watching a video file in a window (tested with xine&mplayer), the window borders in KDE start getting corrupted. Everything works, but doesn't look pretty.
