Speedtouch USB slow

Hello,

I'm playing around with Linux for a couple of weeks now. I'm currently using Slackware 9.1. I think it all works great, except from one thing, my internet connection. Which is quite important, imo. I have the Alcatel Speedtouch 330 USB DSL Modem. And a 2048/320 kbit/s DSL connection.

I used the SpeedtouchConf script to configure my Speedtouch USB modem. I can connect the internet, but when I download something it won't go faster than 30kb/s, and since I have a 2048 kbit downstream, I think that's strange. In Windows it goes with normal speed around 105kb/s. The upload is good.

I couldn't find much about it on the net.

Where do I start? What can I do to fix it?

Well, I fixed it.

The only thing I did was removing the SpeedtouchConf files and settings,
and configure it manualy.
