SpeedTouch USB, Mandrake, Help..
Hey everyone,
I am somewhat new to Linux and have been attempting to get my SpeedTouch USB (not the 330) modem to connect to the internet. I have read just about every post dealing with that modem, it's configuration, etc, on this website. I have tried different drivers from sourceforge as well as drivers from other newsgroups. I have tried speedtouchconf, I have read all of the recommended HOWTOs. I think you get the idea. Unfortunatly, I'm still having a problem..
I can successfully load the firmware into the modem and I can even dial and get feedback; however, I can't seem to surf the internet, log on to AIM, or even ping a website.
Here are the contents of my required files:

I've seen this in my var/log/messages file:
LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
But I fixed that problem, then this happened...
This is the information from ifconfig on my ppp0 interface after I've loaded the firmware and dialed...
ppp0 Link encap:Point-to-Point Protocol

TX packets:3 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0

I'm sick of dealing with this. I don't want to revert to Windows but if I can't get on the internet with my Linux box, I might as well...
Does anyone out there know what to do?!
