Sound Card Troubles Fedora Core 3


Hi,

I have just dual booted my system with Win XP and fedora core 3. I am a complete n00b to linux , and I can't get my soundcard working. It is an onboard intel chipset. I have looked at other forums but still cant remedy my problem.


Here is my out out when lspci is run..........

Thanks for the speedy reply .

Not sure if what I have done here is correct but here are my inputs....

[tony@localhost ~]$ modprobe snd-azx
bash: modprobe: command not found

Didn't work so I tried....

[tony@localhost ~]$ /sbin/modprobe snd-azx
FATAL: Module snd_azx not found.

Which still didn't work, as I said im not completely sure this is what you meant for me to do

That means you don't have the driver for your sound card if those links were correct,you need that module in your kernel for sound to work.Search this site and google and see how and if anyone has got it to work and how they did it.Any ? ask away.
I have a sound card that is new that the drivers aren't available yet,so I did it the lazy way,disabled my onboard sound in the bios and put in a SB card I had around that I knew was supporded so I could listen to music(mandatory for me)
