You have an ambiguous title.
You have a software question in a hardware forum.
You did not search the forums for your solution (did you think you were the first to want to install software in Mandrake?)
You did not search google for an answer.
You did not try the mandrake project page (with it's FAQ and user manual).
Your question is too general: what software did you have in mind?
Since your first post is a new thread - it is not expected that you would get it right. Remember - while people will be only too happy to help out, we are not a paid helpdesk. In order to get good replies you must be prepared to work on your question yourself. Or at least show that you have.
Post a proper question in the correct thread and I'll eagerly rush to your assistance. Until then ...
