Setting Primary Monitor
Hi,
I have a dual monitor system on a laptop. I have an external TFT 19" monitor and the laptop screen running from one ATI Radeon 9000. After finally managing to get my XFree86 configuration to work on Mandrake I have some smaller issues to deal with. I want my external 19" monitor to be set as primary however despite trying various changes to the configuration file XF86Config-4 my laptop monitor appears to be Display 1 (Screen0) and my External monitor Display 2 (Screen1). The problem is that the login manager loads of Display 1 (the laptop screen) along with most applications, this is annoying when watching full screen videos with Mplayer since it goes full screen on the laptop display and not on the external 19". It would help to know how you tell X which is the primary display, then I could set the primary display to be the external monitor.
Here is my XF86Config-4, I have tried reversing the head numbers with no effect:-
