ok, i have a slack 10 software raid used for a samba share but i whant to add more hds to the raid or a second raid if that is not possible.
i am looking for any suggestions on a card brand/model that has support by/for slack10.
i do not know much about the raid/controller card market so any suggestions would be great or any alternet paths.
so in short, suggestions for adding more harddrives to a computer while keeping the data that is stored on exesting drives and also making is so that the drives show up in as few mount points as possible eg: jbod, raid 0.
sorry,
i am currently running 4 ide drives and would like to keep useing ide, or possibly sata as the controller cards seem quite a bit cheaper and the drives are almost the same price,
Currently have a software raid and have had no problems with it at all so if its cheaper to go with out hardware raid thats great.
